The Future of Farming and the Environment – Public Meeting

Thanks to Paul Brannen (former MEP and member of the European Agriculture and Environment Committees) for speaking at the meeting and Penny (our prospective parliamentary candidate) for chairing.
A wide ranging and informed discussion followed Paul Brannen’s presentation on the future of land use, farming & forestry in rural constituencies. The audience was made up of people from the local farming community and those living in and around Bellingham and Simon Bainbridge, the chairman of NFU Northumberland made valuable contributions to the discussion throughout the evening.
