Citizens Advice and Assistance
About a quarter of children (over 3000) in Hexham Constituency live in poverty. Our Conservative MP thinks that this is because their parents and food bank users ‘need to get better at handling money‘.
The Hexham CLP supports the work of many foodbanks in the constituency because we believe no one should go hungry. Meanwhile we work to ensure that there are fair wages, support and opportunities for all so that one day food banks won’t be needed.
Money Helper is a government advice service about financial matters, benefits and debt. It is free and impartial.
