Prudhoe celebrates an historic weekend

It’s been a historic weekend with the nation celebrating the coronation of the King in Westminster Abbey on Saturday.

Celebrations continued on this grey and rainy bank holiday Monday in Prudhoe. What had been planned as Tea and Music on The Glade had to be moved inside due to the weather. This didn’t stop everyone having a great time with young and old and families from across the town enjoying the food, music and entertainment.

The event was organised by Prudhoe Community Partnership with support from Prudhoe Town Council, Northumberland County Council’s King’s Coronation Fund and our very own Councillor Angie Scott’s small scheme fund, which provided £2k.

Angie speaking earlier today said:

Today was a great day despite the weather! Great music, great food and great company.
I was so happy to fund this event though my small schemes fund along with Northumberland County Councils Kings Coronation fund.
Prudhoe Community Partnership did a fantastic job in organising this event with support of Trustees and Prudhoe Town Council.
Thank you to everyone that popped in to enjoy the day.

Angie Scott, Councillor for Prudhoe North
