This year’s walk was in support of Laylac, who work with children
in Dheisheh refugee camp

As planned, we met at 1100hrs at The Keelman pub (also known as the Big Lamp Brewery), Grange Rd, Newburn NE15 8NL
The walk covers seven miles along the banks of the beautiful River Tyne, and we stopped for refreshments as usual half way.
We were particularly honoured to have three Palestinian walkers with us, as well as Julie Pearn of Sheffield Labour Friends of Palestine (5th from the right), who’d come up specially to support the effort.
Everyone very much enjoyed an update from some of our Palestinian guests as well as ‘putting faces to names’ that we’d met physically for the first time on this event, after working online together for the last two years.
