Young at Heart

A well attended and successful meeting of Hexham Young Labour took place at the Heart of Northumberland pub in Hexham on Tuesday 24th July ’18.

We had an interesting discussion about young people and the Labour Party and examined a range of reasons as to why Labour appeals so strongly to this age group, and how we can identify and engage more young activists.

We considered the barriers that deter younger people from getting involved in politics and how we can overcome these, as well as why young people are important to social movements and to the future of the Labour Party. Good to hear the views of younger members.
