KHUDAIRAT, JORDAN VALLEY SOLIDARITY
SPEAKING ON —
The geopolitical, geographical and historical changing shape of the Palestinian homelands, and
the Israeli occupation’s ongoing annexation of the Jordan Valley.
INTRODUCED BY ANN SCHOFIELD, NEWCASTLE CITY COUNCILLOR AND PSC MEMBER
THE SESSION RUNS FOR 90 MINS, with Q&A AT THE END.
These talks are organised with the aim of stimulating a well-informed discourse on the issue of Palestine in Hexham, but also anywhere where people want to know more about the issues, including human rights, annexation, arms sales from the UK and the West, the Israeli occupation, and what we can do to support the Palestinian people.
The opportunity to hear about the lived experience of Palestinian farmers and shepherds in the Jordan Valley, in context with Israel’s century-long colonial project, will be of interest to anyone who wants to know more about Palestine.
The talks are very informal and friendly. We want you to come along, whatever your level of knowledge, and hear for yourself the full and up-to-date story of Palestine resistance.
Ask your friends to come along, and don’t be shy to ask questions at the event!
The tentative diary of our next events is:
mid-to-end September – house demolitions with ICAHD
October – the treatment of Palestinian children by the occupying forces
November – the use of #WaterAsWeapon (look out for this hashtag leading up to the event.)
December – we plan a Webinar with representative from Labour Friends of Palestine and Palestinian guest speakers in conversational format.
