Dear Members and Supporters,

We hope that you are keeping safe at this worrying time.

Two newly formed groups responding to need are:

  • Isolation help Northumberland and
  • Hexham Helpers.

They can both be found on Facebook.

  • Hexham Town Council is looking for volunteers on: clerk@hexhamtowncouncil.gov.uk or 01434 609575.
  • West Northumberland Food Bank is closed but will deliver to people in need. They can be found on Facebook, their web page and on 01434 700068.  They ask that we please continue to donate food and money to the Food bank as normal.

Other groups and agencies that can help are:

  • The Trade Unions,
  • Parish and Town Councils,
  • Local Councillors,
  • Hexhamtv is running features on local developments,
  • Hexham Courant has a directory of local community groups,
  • A number of cafes and restaurants are running delivery services,
  • Tesco and Iceland are recruiting for additional staff,
  • The library service is running a befriending service, contact 01670 620450,
